Kseniya Makarova is one fierce woman (and quite the artist). This is her most recent design and it’s titled, "If someone could forward this to D.C., that’d be great."

Cher Horowitz answers the immigration question better than Obama and Romney.

"But some people are all, ‘What about the strain on our resources?’ Well it’s like when I had this garden party for my father’s birthday, right? I put R.S.V.P. ‘cause it was a sit-down dinner. But some people came that like did not R.S.V.P. I was like totally buggin’. I had to haul ass to the kitchen, redistribute the food, and squish in extra place settings. But by the end of the day it was, like, the more the merrier. And so if the government could just get to the kitchen, rearrange some things, we could certainly party with the Haitians. And in conclusion may I please remind you it does NOT say R.S.V.P. on the Statue of Liberty!”

The United Nations Declaration on Rights of Indigenous People.
Although not official international law, it carries moral and political force. It is a statement and agreement recognizing and empowering Indigenous people. It is also a commitment from the state, to address concerns specific to Indigenous people. Out of 158 countries, the United States was dead last to sign and refused to until 2010; President Obama adopted the Declaration at the White House Tribal Nations Conference.
Today, the U.S. is not living up to even the bare minimum requirements of the U.N. Declaration.

Today, Oglala Lakotas protested trucks carrying the Keystone XL Pipeline through the Pine Ride Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Many were arrested, but they were ultimately successful at stopping the drivers. As a Nakoda living in Montana I have to say Aho and Wopina to the protesters who showed so much bravery and honor today. Those are some fierce Natives defending their; defending our land.
