In the spirit of writing to our Congresspersons, we took action. We encourage you to do the same. Please tell your Representative to re-authorize the Violence Against Women Act and write them today. If you take your mouse and put it over the places you will see the field pop up, and can use our letter as template.
find your local representative on the link below:

please download a copy of the above letter to fill out and send to your representative.
We at Save Wiyabi Project want to encourage you to speak up and demand justice. Be loud! Be amazing! Let them hear you roar!
Fort Lewis lacrosse player and Save Wiyabi Project supporter Tim Topper, has taken advocacy to a whole new level. He stated that he, “Now has another reason to play.” That sound you hear is my heart swooning.
And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it’s time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women.
Rest easy, Tupac.

Thanks for the love, NM Magazine. We so appreciate it!
Attention fellow Native women: This event is taking place June 20th and 21st in Fort Belknap, Montana. Since this is happening on my reservation, I will trek back from San Francisco to be part of this. If you would like to attend you can absolutely come stay with one of my family members. With all the recent reports that have come out about the stats of violence towards Native women, and the current political climate that is very anti-woman, this could not come at a more important time. I’m excited to be there as an individual but also to represent Save Wiyabi Project. Please let me know if you are interested!!

Are you a graphic designer who would like to help with some materials for SlutWalk San Francisco? If yes, please hit me up! Xo
Super exciting stuff! Save Wiyabi Project was just featured in NM Magazine. There’s going to be an interview of Jessa Rae and I published in the premiere print/online issue. In the meantime they have given us a much appreciated shout-out and the Reader’s Digest version of the project. We’re so honored!!
Alaska Natives were excluded from the Senate version of the Violence Against Women Act that passed in April. If a select group of Republicans get their way, the rest of Indian Country will look the same. THIS is OUR moment to fight for our rights. Be the voice. Contact your representatives and urge their support for Indian Country.
The newest addition to SWP, brought to you by our new team member Christian Ericson.
We implore you to contact your Representatives. Contrary to what this “select group” of Republicans is telling you, the War on Women is very real. The desire to eliminate the tribal provisions of the bill shows that this is also a way to directly discriminate against Native Americans in general. This is OUR moment, let’s fight for our rights.
